The Beginning. Drake starts the adventure sitting in his Eurocar 2000 watching the news, the news reports that ".... The reporter is Sally Wong After the news report Drake should go kill the head-da-ball BTL dealer for 10K, already wired to his account. The dealer has a small house in a C neighbourhood, it is unlikely Lone Start will show up at all, he has 2 guards who are well below average, his house is easy to negoitate through. He'll return home after that... after opening the door to his house, he'll recieve a call from Shadow who asks to meet him the next night Drake starts the adventure in "Vampyre's"; Shadow and Ravens nightclub. Drake is meeting Shadow, a Mr. Johnson that HIS Johnson pointed him towards... shared business; Two jobs built into one + a bonus. Shadow meets Drake... Shadow is like usual and alone, he explains the chron - - Enter a guarded facility owned by a small research and communications corp. called Vira Communications. - For HIS Johnson, locate a man called Mr. Benjamin Hartley and "remove" him AND his data on the company profile; 107,500. - For Shadow, steal data on Transmissons from Renraku technologies; 87,500 + The Renraku data is for an unnamed corp. (The dragon one), and they maybe interested in working more on the "Renraku Project" if Drake completes this run successfully. He supplies Drake with aerial maps (Addon) and tells him he will have a partner in this, someone reliable that will cover any, in and out, skills that Drake doesn't have. Lily enters the scene being friendly enough but a little quiet, she is studying Drake, he may notice. Shadow introduces Lily and says that she has already been briefed and agreed to do this. Drake should agree to do this, hopefully, the total pay if everything is complete to statisfation should be 195K + possible more work on the "Renraku Project" + anything extra gained will be determined for price and possible pay after they have returned. Shadow will then ask Drake if he has any questions, he'll answer them the best he can (he knows little more really), give Drake a contact number and excuse himself saying that "I'll leave you two to get to know each other then...". Shadow pays for the rest of their drinks for the night. HOPEFULLY, Drake+Lily won't kill each other and they'll get to know each other a bit, she doesn't talk much at first, but is friendly when she does talk; she is trying to work out how he'll react to her "race". Anyway, make them have a good night... maybe move to another club... later she'll drive home but make sure they have a meeting place to discuss the run (she'll buy him something small and see how he reacts for the next day) They plan ect... yada yada yada.. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm........ RP plans... The Run. Vira Communications is set deep in some set of hills.. Near it; as on the map is, two small wasteland towns... one is mostly humans, the other is mostly orcs and dwarfs.. these two towns REALLY dislike each other, racist A small chron COULD be played here, depends on the amount of time available, if time is limited.. use these towns only for petrol, small RP and run launch points. IMPORTANT! - At some point Lily will reveal her *true* race to him, but ONLY if he passes the little, seemingly unimportant, tests she gives him... their future friendship/partnership will depend on his reaction.... a "I don't care" reaction will work badly... a "Shit!" reaction will effect her BADLY... and possibly him badly... Towns are called :- Northtown - Orc - Reed's Hole Southtown - Human - Mineaton ( MIN - at- UM ) Vira Communications Research Base. ONE has boosted L3. IF the elite squad get's called by chopper, there stats are the following.... Elite Assault Trooper :- Body 5 (7) (dermal L2) Quickness 4 (5) (muscle L1) Strength 5 (6) (muscle L1) Will Power 4 Charisma 2 Intelligence 3 Reaction 4 (6) Initiative 6+2d6 (wired L1) Combat Pool 6 (5 with armour) - Super Ruger Warhawk (10M, SS, 6) - FN-Har (as above) - Light Security Armour + addons (6/4) - Offensive Grenades (2) - Defensive Grenades/Smoke/Flash (1) - Trama Patch L3 - Stim Patch L6 (2) - Misc electrical bollocks The Elite squad will take about 10-20 minutes to arrive ANYWAY... Benjamin Hartley is a standard researcher.. he is very good, he has a wife and 3 children, play on pity when his time seems up... his files are on his bedroom computer, it's a side project of his... he is VERY good at what he does and has ALL kinds of information... Lily will test Drake on his reliablitiy by suggesting that they keep and sell the files.. she doesn't ACTUALLY want to, it's a test. The actually facility is FULL of cameras and the group will have to be VERY cautious to avoid them... they will probably be caught on camera... Once they enter the place, Lily will strip down so her "heritage" is on display.... hard to find a person when your looking for a were-creature who normally isn't one... BUT, if Drake failed tests... or handled her badly... she won't do this.. but at SOME point, best when injuryed, it WILL be revealed to Drake. ANYWAY... Shit... I knew I shouldn't write something and then try to carry it on the next day... I ain't got a CLUE what I was talking about.. Run stuff by ear.. - Benjamin can be located in the housing compound on the third floor. - The Renraku data is located in the research facility on the fourth floor, that level needs a special magkey and has automatic sentrys. - The Renraku data is stored on a offline, non-matrix mainframe.. Lily can access this with her Computer Interface skills. The population of the place is about 120 including security, most people know each other, it will be very hard to convince anyone of anything. - If the players are seen, an alarm will be set off, unless they cut the power. - Once the alarm is set off, all guards will be up onto their feet and heading towards the location it was set off.. the captain of the guard will take control. - IF the guards start getting shot up, the Elite squadron will be called, unless the telecommunications tower was destory or deactivated. - Also, several people will leave the base towards seattle by vehicle to call for help, unless the players thought about and planned for this with a road block or mines. The run should just be played on ear with the previous information taken into account. The End Shadow will pay for the data... and will call back on values for anything else stolen for Vira Com.. Hopefully leave the group in good terms... nothing special, any actions made during the chron may have pay backs - To be decided
